foundation

Embracing our identity as God originally created us is the secure foundation we can build on. We need to be fully restored to the truth of who God has made us.

framework

The cultural narratives defining women today have misled us.  They are enticing but drawing us away from the life that God intended for us.  We need a return to scripture to shape us.

Formation

In a world that is wrought with distractions from a busy lifestyle to the overconsumption of media, we need spiritual practices to help us connect with God.

family

We need the safety of a healthy, spiritual family and tools to develop deep connection within those families. We need to be intentional in how we raise up daughters (biological and spiritual) in the way of Jesus.

Jumping back on social media after a three month h Jumping back on social media after a three month hiatus because it’s this girls GRADUATION week! 😭

Last week, our pastor asked us to remember a time when God moved against insurmountable odds. I was immediately taken back to my pregnancy with Hailey. After 2 years of multiple miscarriages and numerous infertility tests, I was pregnant! Around 9 weeks, I started bleeding at work. In that moment, instead of feeling fear, I was filled with the peace of God. I calmly finished treating a patient and then drove to the doctors office. I sang worship songs in the car the whole way there, praying over this baby growing inside of me. And the ultrasound gave the affirmation of what I already knew…the baby’s heartbeat was strong. The bleeding was coming from a different place. And God was giving me the desire of my heart: to be a mother.

Now, here we are, another Mother’s Day and I’m looking at my grown daughter and remember his faithfulness. Not just one but two incredible daughters!

This week we will celebrate @hailey.gwynn.o as she graduates high school and gets ready to head to @johnbrownuniversity ❤️ I’m so proud of you Hailey! If I cry a lot, it’s all because of how much I love you!

Compassionate and gracious almost always go together in the scriptures. And, they are exclusively used in reference to God, no other persons. The Psalms repeatedly echo these two characteristics of God.

Jesus, in human form, embodies being compassionate and gracious. Throughout the gospels, we see how Jesus was moved with compassion.

As we choose to live as Jesus did, may we move towards others with compassion and grace.

This beauty turned 18 on Christmas Day! We gifted This beauty turned 18 on Christmas Day! We gifted her this pottery wheel that she has wanted for several years and her dad carved out some basement space for her to have a “studio.” I believe God designed us to be creators so this was an easy investment in her and her gift! We can’t wait to see what beautiful things she makes.

She also held out until this big birthday to jump into social media. My first birthday message that I can tag her in! 😘So proud of you @hailey.gwynn.o for who you are becoming as you take another step towards adulthood. You’re beautiful inside and out and I love being your mom! #seniorsunday
