Welcome! I'm glad you're here.

I love Jesus. I write to empower women to live out of their true identity and form their life by His words and ways.

Hello beloved sister.

Thanks for choosing to lean in and listen. Over the last 20 years, God has invited me to partner with Him in caring for and building up His daughters. I’ve led numerous bible studies, enjoyed discipling women as individuals or in small groups, and mentored young leaders.  I’ve wept alongside women experiencing excruciating loss and prayed with women clinging to their faith after “church hurt” or “church abuse.”  I’ve balanced a life of ministry while working as a pediatric physical therapist at a local children’s hospital and raising two daughters.

For many years, I was a pastor’s wife. Internally, I resisted that title. I didn’t match the stereotype that went with it. I was strong, outspoken and opinionated. I sensed that God wanted my gifts for His kingdom, in addition to my husbands. I uncovered a growing passion to see women rise up in leadership within the church.  My journey with God shifted as I deconstructed my church experiences while holding tightly to the Jesus I loved. I learned that a life of connection to Jesus produced abundant joy and genuine transformation. I gained the courage to embrace my truest identity as the Beloved. I reconstructed a life that more fully reflects life in His Kingdom.

When I look around me, I see women who are longing for an authentic faith, wrestling against the tide of culture, are worn out, even sometimes lonely and looking for other like-minded women. I hope to be a wise guide who can help her on the journey of building again. Reshaping the way she sees herself and what she believes about how God sees her. Restoring what has been lost, broken, or altered. Reforming how she spends her time, energy and resources.

I’ve shared my life for over 20 years with my husband, Greg. He has a master’s degree in Apologetics from Biola University. He’s an incredibly gifted teacher who pours his life into the discipleship of high school students. His favorite classes are Christian Worldview and the Life of Jesus. Together, we co-lead a house church through a network of house churches in Kansas City.

After years of struggling with infertility and loss, God gifted me two beautiful daughters. They are currently navigating the highs and lows of teenage life. And I adore them.

As a family, we love spending time boating on Grand Lake in Oklahoma, telling stories and eating S’mores around our backyard fire pit, making memories as we check off our summer bucket list, annual traditions, traveling to new places, and being each other’s biggest fans.

He lives the faithful life of following Jesus that he teaches. He loves his family, friends, and students selflessly. He’s an incredible husband and the best girl dad. Hes full of wisdom and I learn ao much from him And dang….I’m just the luckiest to call him mine! I love you always my boy! ❤️
Today is my last day on social media for a while. Today is my last day on social media for a while. I’ve long felt a need to make a TURN and Lent is the invitation to make one.

I feel the need to:

Turn DOWN the noise of the masses.
Turn AWAY from the distractions.
Turn my hands OVER in surrender.
Turn UP my voice in prayer and worship.

Turn my eyes TO Jesus.
Turn my ears TO listen for His voice.
Turn my heart IN greater response to His love.

If we are friends beyond this platform, text or call me! If you want to hear from me now and again, you can always subscribe to my blog updates. That 🔗is in my profile.

Dare I say that I’m excited for what God will do in me over the next 40+ days. I feel expectant and hopeful. ❤️

Sharing a few questions from my recent blog post on Lent that I used to help get them started. And, while they certainly made a lot of jokes about what to give up (veggies, mom’s cooking…🤣), I could also see they were diving deep into thinking about their daily habits and what is more a comfort than a need. And what could feel like a sacrifice!

Swipe 👉🏻 to read a few of the prompts as you consider what type of fast God is leading you into for the 40 days leading to Easter!

These two girls…a winter dance and another memor These two girls…a winter dance and another memory in the bank. ❤️

I often practice remembering the faithfulness of God in my life. At some point this weekend, I remembered a time in my life where I thought I might never have children. My story of becoming a mother was years of miscarriages and infertility. So many tears shed in the waiting and longing.

But God is faithful.

And that’s what I’m reminded of when I look at my daughters. They have been locked arm in arm like this since they were little……😭

I prayed they would always remain close friends and here we are, the middle of high school life, and I am confident that God has heard that particular cry of my heart.

So, what might just be one more high dance instead becomes a moment for me to say thank you Jesus for your faithfulness. ❤️🙌🏻

A perfect snowy day to start a new Bible reading p A perfect snowy day to start a new Bible reading plan. I chose this from the @alabaster_co because I love how they have selected scripture for each week based on a theme. Each theme includes readings from the Old Testament, New Testament and the Psalms (a book I live in!)

It doesn’t matter that it’s after Jan 1st and it won’t matter if I don’t finish in 52 weeks. It’s about being intentional with immersing myself in the scriptures. That takes a plan!

I’m curious…what kind of plan are you using for reading scripture right now?

Community is an essential part of how we stay conn Community is an essential part of how we stay connected to Jesus. Especially when life seems to feel broken. We live out the words and ways of Jesus WITH others. Within that community, I believe every disciple needs a master builder AND an apprentice coming alongside them. Doing hard work, repairing what's broken when needed, and encouraging each other to keep going.

Who is the master builder in your life?
Who do you see as an apprentice?

Simply naming these two important people can remind you that you aren't alone! 🙌
