The Instagram craft that didn’t disappoint! @hailey.gwynn.o was home for fall break this past weekend and we had a fun night adding fall flowers to our white pumpkins. They turned out so cute and I loved getting some special time with my girls! Happy fall ya’ll! 🍁🎃

#seniorsunday Sister edition! I couldn’t be more thankful for the sweet friendship between these two! I prayed for it and God answered! 🙌🏻 So many memories made together and many more to come as they transition into adulthood. 💕

Senior night for volleyball was this week! My hear

Senior night for volleyball was this week! My heart is full with gratitude! Grateful for so many people who love B that came out to celebrate her last home game! Thankful for these sweet friends who have grown up together. Thankful for B’s boyfriend who drove in from K-state to surprise her. Thankful for big heads held high and mini volleyballs tossed out into the crowd. But, most of all, I’m thankful for Brooklyn. The determined, strong player she has become. The encourager she is to her team mates. The joy she brings onto the court. I’m so proud of you @brooklyn.m.owens and I’ll miss being your loudest fan!!

Senior Sunday post in celebration of these two bea

Senior Sunday post in celebration of these two beauties! Sara came bounding into our house the day we moved in 6 years ago and she quickly became part of our family. They’ve always gone to different schools and it was the sweetest gift for them to make a Senior year dance memory at Northwest’s homecoming last night! ❤️ It’s been a joy to watch these girls grow up in the neighborhood and their friendship is so special. Love you both so much @brooklyn.m.owens and @sara_granfors08

I was back at Colonial Presbyterian church over th

I was back at Colonial Presbyterian church over the last few days for a Prayer conference and I was overtaken by memories of my girls attending preschool there. Such a sweet season of life! So, for this week’s #seniorsunday post, Brooklyn on her first day of preschool! 😭😭❤️❤️

You can find me serving pediatric patients on Tues

You can find me serving pediatric patients on Tuesdays and Fridays at a new place! I’m excited to bring my expertise in development, torticollis, toe-walking and other gait deviations, cerebral palsy and many other neurological disorders to families needing personalized care. The crew @possabilities.kc has been so welcoming to me this month! If your child (or someone you know) needs pediatric PT, I’d be delighted for you to send them my way! ❤️

This girl has been playing volleyball since 4th gr

This girl has been playing volleyball since 4th grade! She’s loved the game and it’s been a JOY to watch her gain skills over the years. As a senior, she is leading her team with encouragement, commitment to practice, and challenging each player to excel. It’s hard to imagine this is our last season in the stands. Keep at it B! I love watching you shine on and off the court! 🏐❤️ #seniorsunday #raisinggirls

We did it. We moved our girl into @johnbrownuniver

We did it. We moved our girl into @johnbrownuniversity yesterday for the next season of her life. We had so much fun unpacking and organizing her dorm room, connecting with her roommate and her parents, and meeting her RA’s! I’ll hold onto the sweetest memories of praying over her in our hotel room and then, again, at the end of chapel. It was the hardest goodbye, all the tears reminding me of the deep love we have for Hailey. Joy and sadness can co-exist in this transition!

I have no doubts that @hailey.gwynn.o is exactly where God wants her to be. She is ready to expand her wings and soar! God has you Hailey and you are so very loved!

In Christian culture, we’ve had a history of gloss

In Christian culture, we’ve had a history of glossing over painful things in our lives. Downplaying the struggles we wrestle with. Quietly pushing down what is hard and using prayer or platitudes as a cover-up.

However, in recent years, there’s been a swing towards more authenticity. A trend toward talking about what is real in life. Real pain. Deep hurt. True disappointment. We’re seeing honesty and vulnerability lead the way in Christian circles to better align with how Jesus truly wants to meet us in our pain.

And it’s been BEAUTIFUL to see people receive the deep love of Jesus and experience His genuine care for them.
